A strong Project Manager sees the whole picture: the budget, the schedule, the people in the field, and what the client needs next. That’s the kind of PM this Wichita team is looking for.

A respected Kansas-based commercial contractor is adding a Project Manager to its Wichita team. The office has a mix of municipal, civic, and commercial work, with projects ranging from tenant improvements to ground-up construction.

This search is being handled confidentially.

Why This Opportunity Matters

This is a chance to join an established general contractor with a strong Kansas presence and help shape a growing Wichita office. You’ll have meaningful ownership of your projects and work closely with both field and office leadership.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

A varied pipeline of public and private projects
Work that includes ground-up construction, renovations, and tenant improvements
Direct access to local leadership
An opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients and trade partners
A team looking for a long-term addition, not someone to fill a single project

The Role

Manage commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
Own budgets, schedules, contracts, and project documentation
Partner closely with superintendents to keep work moving in the field
Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams
Identify issues early and help the team work through them
Support and mentor project engineers or assistant project managers

Ideal Background

Commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor
Experience managing multiple projects or a larger project with competing priorities
Strong financial, scheduling, and subcontractor management skills
A practical, collaborative approach to working with field teams
Experience with municipal, civic, education, or similar work is a plus

A Note From Tori

I’ve spent the last several years recruiting exclusively within the Kansas and Missouri construction market after beginning my career on the contractor side.

What I like about this opportunity is the variety of work and the chance to have a real impact in the Wichita office. If you’re a PM who enjoys owning your projects while staying closely connected to the people building them, I’d be happy to share more in a confidential conversation.
