Senior Project Manager

Drive Execution. Remove Roadblocks. Deliver Predictable Outcomes.

At Power Integrations, we develop innovative semiconductor technologies that power energy-efficient solutions used around the world. From consumer electronics and industrial applications to electric vehicles and renewable energy systems, our products help customers solve increasingly complex power conversion challenges.

We're looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of technology, execution, and leadership. This is not a project coordinator role. It's an opportunity for an experienced execution leader to become a trusted partner to Business Unit and Engineering leadership, helping our teams bring innovative semiconductor products from concept to production with greater speed, transparency, and predictability.

If you're energized by driving complex projects, influencing across organizations, and helping teams make better decisions faster, we'd love to talk with you.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the execution of complex semiconductor product development projects across multiple functions and geographies.

You'll serve as the organization's independent view of execution, partnering closely with Business Unit leaders, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Applications, Packaging, and Test teams to ensure projects stay aligned, risks are surfaced early, decisions happen quickly, and commitments are met.

This role is built around a clear operating model:

Business Unit Leaders own product strategy, portfolio priorities, and business outcomes.
Functional Leaders own technical solutions and execution within their teams.
You own integrated project execution, cross-functional alignment, schedule predictability, dependency management, and delivery transparency.

Success in this role requires more than maintaining schedules. You'll anticipate issues before they become problems, identify resource constraints before they affect commitments, and help leadership teams make informed decisions that keep projects moving forward.

What You'll Do

Lead Complex Product Development Projects

Drive cross-functional semiconductor product development projects from concept through production release.
Build and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, and critical-path activities.
Ensure alignment across Engineering, Applications, Packaging, Test, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Business Unit stakeholders.
Establish clear project objectives, deliverables, dependencies, and success metrics.
Drive accountability and execution across matrixed teams.

Manage the Critical Path

Own and actively manage integrated project schedules.
Identify bottlenecks, competing priorities, and resource constraints before they impact commitments.
Anticipate and address dependencies across multiple organizations and development phases.
Develop recovery plans when projects deviate from schedule expectations.
Maintain clear visibility into execution readiness and milestone achievement.

Enable Better Decisions

Facilitate discussions that drive timely, data-based decisions.
Clarify ownership and ensure actions are completed.
Escalate issues appropriately and proactively.
Help leadership understand tradeoffs, risks, and schedule impacts.
Create transparency and eliminate surprises.

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

Serve as the central coordination point across technical and business functions.
Build strong partnerships while maintaining objective project oversight.
Resolve conflicts and remove barriers to progress.
Ensure organizational priorities are translated into executable plans.

Proactively Manage Risk

Identify execution risks early and assess potential impacts.
Drive mitigation planning and accountability.
Monitor project health, resource availability, and milestone readiness.
Surface issues before they become critical delays.
Provide leadership with a clear view of risks and opportunities.

Leverage Technology and AI

Utilize modern project management tools, analytics, and dashboards to improve visibility and predictability.
Apply AI-enabled solutions to automate status gathering, action tracking, reporting, and risk identification.
Use data and automation to reduce administrative work and focus on execution leadership.
Help advance scalable project management practices across the organization.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
8+ years of project management experience in semiconductor, electronics, hardware, or other complex product development environment.
Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional technical projects.
Strong understanding of semiconductor development lifecycles, including:

1. IC development and tapeout
2. Validation
3. Package development
4. Test development
5. Qualification
6. Manufacturing readiness
7. Production release

Experience managing critical paths, dependencies, resource constraints, and project risks.
Strong leadership and influencing skills within matrix organizations.
Exceptional communication and executive presentation capabilities.
Proven ability to drive accountability without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field.
PMP, PgMP, Agile, or similar project management certification.
Experience leading global semiconductor development teams.
Familiarity with PLM, ERP, and portfolio management systems.
Experience implementing AI-enabled project management or workflow automation solutions.

What Success Looks Like

Within this role, you will:

Become the organization's trusted source of execution transparency.
Deliver projects with greater predictability and fewer surprises.
Identify risks and resource challenges early enough to avoid missed commitments.
Accelerate decision-making through structured communication and thoughtful escalation.
Strengthen accountability across teams and functions.
Enable business and technical leaders to focus on strategy and innovation while you ensure execution stays on track.
