Product Marketing ManagerLocation: Boston, MA (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite Weekly, Flexible Schedule)
Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000 base + 10% Performance Bonus
The Planet Group is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support the go-to-market strategy of a growing cybersecurity firm. This newly created, high-impact role will balance product marketing and sales enablement, helping define product positioning, refine messaging, and drive demand for a subscription-based solution. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of in-house product marketing experience within B2B technology companies
- Proven success supporting product launches, messaging frameworks, and competitive positioning
- Experience creating a wide range of marketing collateral including whitepapers, blog posts, sales decks, and battle cards
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and revenue operations teams
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, especially for technical and executive audiences
- Strong analytical mindset; comfortable making data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Outreach, and Allego
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. – no visa sponsorship offered
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Cybersecurity industry experience highly preferred
- Candidates with backgrounds in Gartner-style research or advisory services are strong contenders
- Agency-only candidates (with <2 years B2B in-house experience) are not ideal
- Strong understanding of buyer personas such as CISOs, SecOps, and CIOs
- Experience supporting sales enablement platforms and driving content adoption
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Product Marketing (Approx. 60% of Role)
- Craft compelling value propositions and messaging rooted in market research and buyer insights
- Collaborate with Product teams to execute product launches and highlight new capabilities
- Work with content and PR teams to create whitepapers, videos, blog posts, and other product-centric content
- Create and maintain competitive intelligence materials
Sales Enablement (Approx. 40% of Role)
- Build and distribute battle cards, talk tracks, sales decks, and persona-driven collateral
- Enable the sales team with value messaging, objection handling, and customer success stories
- Monitor use of sales content and tools to assess effectiveness and iterate where needed
Reporting & Strategy
- Analyze campaign and collateral performance to improve lead conversion and sales team efficiency
- Deliver insights on content usage and ROI to drive future enablement strategy
