The Industry Partner Solutions (IPS) organization is responsible for accelerating revenue and share growth by empowering customers and partners to securely transform with Microsoft Cloud, AI, Windows devices, and experiences. Within IPS, Windows and Devices Sales (WDS) combines the build and sell motions of Windows and device solutions to delight Commercial and Consumer customers worldwide.
As part of WDS, the Device Partner Sales (DPS) plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market, and sell breakthrough AI-powered devices and cloud experiences with partners, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), device distribution and reseller channels, Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), and Silicon providers. We work closely across the device partner ecosystem and internal teams to transform the world of computing.

The Business Program Manager (BPM) supporting the Project Management Organization in Device Partner Sales plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and execution across key planning and governance initiatives. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to manage intake processes, enable capacity planning, and support program governance to ensure successful delivery of business priorities. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders across engineering, operations, finance, legal, business strategy, and more, fostering broad organizational impact and collaboration.

Responsibilities
- PMO Intake & Prioritization: Manage the centralized intake process for business initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and readiness for execution.
- Capacity & Resource Planning: Partner with stakeholders to assess and align resource capacity with fiscal year planning cycles and evolving business needs.
- Program Governance & Reporting: Support governance frameworks, including milestone tracking, risk management, and executive reporting for PMO-led initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate coordination across business, engineering, and partner teams to drive clarity, accountability, and timely decision-making.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to PMO processes, tools, and rhythms to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to the planning and execution of strategic programs and special projects as prioritized by the PMO.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications (RQs)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years financial analysis or accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years in delivering operational and financial outcomes through structured program leadership.
- 4+ years in leading multi-year planning efforts, integrating product roadmaps, and aligning portfolio strategies with business objectives.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci)
- Expertise with enterprise planning tools and reporting platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategic alignment and executive engagement across cross-functional teams.
- Adept at consultative communication and executive-level engagement, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for partner success.
- Embraces ambiguity with a mindset focused on continuous learning, innovation, and leading through change.
Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
