Overview
As a Microsoft Datacenter Project Manager - Business Operations (DCPM), you will support the field operations leadership team to operationalize all strategic initiatives consistently at metro level, ensure financial planning and performance reviews in accordance with rhythm of the business calendars and manage scheduling conflicts with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Be accountable to provide program governance, leadership, and direction for all projects at the metro level to ensure projects are planned and executed on budget and schedule.
- Support the DC Project Manager’s with project estimation, budget management, ROI calculations, formulate project delivery strategies while establishing milestones and schedules.
- Maintain and report project status, monitor progress, and act as an escalation point ensuring achievement of intended outcomes.
- Support the Metro Director with Field Employee communications including town halls, organizing listening sessions, and local metro level communications.
- Liaise with the Data Center Operational Efficiencies team to ensure metro level financial planning and performance reviews are conducted in accordance to the rhythm of business fiscal calendars and objectives.
- Support the field operations leadership teams to operationalize all strategic initiatives consistently and effectively at the metro level.
- Identify and manage scheduling conflicts working with stakeholders to negotiate implementation dates and schedules across IT, CE, and Facilities teams.
- In alignment with management priorities, hold self-accountable for the end-to-end service quality, completeness, and resulting customer experience (including but not limited to availability, safety, security, customer service). Support escalation of issues to appropriate owner.
- Prepare dashboards, updates, and summaries for leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Qualification or equivalent AND 2+ year(s) industry experience with a focus in change management processes or in Operations Management
- 2+ years’ experience in Data Center or other Critical Environment infrastructures
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
- The successful candidate currently has the ability to obtain Reliability Status screening from a duly authorized department or agency of the Government of Canada. This process includes but is not limited to:
- Verification of identity, background, education, professional credentials, personal and professional references, credit check and criminal background check.
- Reliability Status screening may also require a security questionnaire and security interview.
- To obtain the requisite clearance within required timelines, applicants must have five (5) years of continuous Canadian residency and must not have lived or worked outside of Canada for more than six (6) months during that time unless Microsoft is satisfied that the requisite clearance can nevertheless be obtained within required timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ Years’ experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience
- 5+ Years’ experience in datacenter processes and tooling or related experience
- 3+ Years’ experience in change control processes
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Technical College degree or certification in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical- or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
Data Center Operations Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $69,200 - CAD $129,600 per year.
