The Wearables Foundations team builds and delivers the core platforms, tools, and infrastructure that enable developers—both internal and external—to create innovative and engaging experiences for Meta’s wearable products, such as Ray-Ban Meta Glasses and future AR devices. The team focuses on developer tooling, SDKs, and frameworks that support the full developer lifecycle, ensuring scalable, efficient, and intuitive solutions for wearables. Their work is foundational to empowering a thriving ecosystem of third-party and first-party applications on Meta’s wearable devices, with the goal of driving device adoption and user engagement through high-quality, differentiated experiences. Meta Product Managers work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data scientists, QA and researchers to build products. Product Manager, AR Glasses Developer Tools Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading a product area
- defining success metrics, prioritizing product problems and identifying the best strategies for the product, aligned with the organizational goals. Adapt and adjust your strategy to reflect learnings and changes in the product
- Work with a cross-functional team to define a product vision, develop a roadmap and drive progress against goals and milestones and resolve challenges and blockers, whilst maintaining team health
- Gather and analyze user research and market analysis to inform product decisions and influence the wider product organization
- Coordinate proactively across partner functions for product success. Structure shared roadmaps for best outcomes
- Communicate product strategy and progress with radical clarity to all stakeholders
- Provide mentorship and coaching to other PMs and cross-functional team members where appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 2 years in Product Management
- Bachelor's degree (or relevant degree equivalent) - STEM subject preferred but not essential (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences)
- Experience working with a cross-functional product team on a significant product area: Crafting product vision and strategy, defining product requirements, coordinating resources from other groups (marketing, legal, etc.), and driving the team to achieve key milestones and goals
- Experience managing a product through multiple product life cycle phases
- Proven ability to drive a material change in the performance of a product and the effectiveness of the team that delivers that product
- Proven ability to analyze large scale, complex data sets and making effective decisions based on data
- Experience integrating requirements from a broad set of users as well as competitive context into a single coherent product strategy
- Experience leading and motivating a product team and collaborating with partner teams
- Demonstrated strength in communication, bringing extreme clarity to complex messages
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a mobile or wearables developer building native apps, or as a product manager building application frameworks or development tools for app developers
- Experience with spatial frameworks such as [OpenXR, Android XR, ARKit]
- Experience with product software development practices, such as simulation, debugging, profiling, release channels, testing, etc
- Understanding of the overall consumer software development lifecycle from concept to monetization, preferably on mobile or VR platforms
- Experience defining and managing the implementation of performance profiling tools
- Expertise in delivering app testing and simulation tools for AR or VR
- Experience working closely with managed external partners, often involving highly supported relationships to iterate and harden the platform before a wider launch
