Project Manager
Location: New Albany, Ohio (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Target pay rate: $48-52/hour W2 based on years of experience
Role Overview
This position involves managing, or assisting in the management of, base, intermediate, and complex projects within a matrix team environment. The role requires providing leadership, direction, coordination, and effective communication to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects. The objective is to achieve short and long-range goals safely, efficiently, and economically, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and project transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct or assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating assigned project activities.
- Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for safety processes, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Develop, review, and coordinate the project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff.
- Communicate project details and status updates through planning meetings, reports, and other communications.
- Develop working relationships with the project team, staff, customers, partners, contractors, and suppliers.
- Provide guidance and feedback to improve design, systems, procedures, schedules, and costs.
- Ensure efficient and timely performance of project work activities.
- Develop and manage procurement plans and contracts for necessary outside resources.
- Conduct or assist in closeout processes, including analysis of project success.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, or a related field with 3 years of qualified experience, or a two-year Associate's degree in the same disciplines with 5 years of qualified experience.
Experience: Qualified experience includes utility and/or construction project management. Experience should cover outage management, business administration, major construction field experience, project estimating, controls, and engineering. Experience in IT and telecommunications project management alone is not sufficient for this role.
License/Certification: A valid state driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction safety, negotiations, scope development/control, cost estimating, construction contracting, project controls/reporting, and quality control.
- Experience in utilities or commercial nuclear power.
