Project Manager
Location: Charleston, West Virginia (On-site)

Role Overview
This position is for a Project Manager for a special, long-term joint venture project. The role requires managing base, intermediate, and complex projects within a matrix team environment. The successful candidate will provide leadership, direction, and coordination to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct or assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating assigned project activities.
- Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for safety processes, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Develop, review, and coordinate the project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff.
- Communicate project details and status updates through meetings, reports, and other communications.
- Develop working relationships with the project team, internal and external partners, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Provide guidance and feedback to improve design, systems, procedures, schedules, and costs.
- Ensure efficient and timely performance of project work activities.
- Coach and develop team members on project management skills and techniques.
- Develop and manage procurement plans and contracts for necessary outside resources.
- Conduct or assist in project closeout processes, including an analysis of project success.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, project management, or a related field with 3 years of qualified experience, or a two-year Associate's degree in the same disciplines with 5 years of qualified experience.
Experience: Qualified experience includes outage management, business administration, major construction field experience, project estimating, controls, and engineering. Experience in the utility, power systems, or major construction sectors is necessary. Experience in IT and Telecom does not qualify for this role. Candidates should be local to the Charleston, WV area.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of P6 and PMBOK are required.
License/Certification: A valid state driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification is preferred.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, on-site position. The role requires travel (approximately 25%) consisting of day trips and occasional overnight stays to visit sites in West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $49.00 and $51.32 per hour.
