Meta is seeking an AI-native operations program leader to act as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for AI-native transformation across every phase of product and technical operations. As a lead AI OPM, you will own the end-to-end program management of AI initiatives — from early architecture and through pilot execution and scaled deployment. You will be the primary Operations interface for AI initiatives to product development, engineering, sourcing, and external supplier teams, ensuring cross-functional alignment, on-time delivery, and measurable operational impact. Staying at the cutting edge of AI tools and innovations, you will serve as the operational backbone for AI transformation across our NPI Product Operations technical functions. You will establish the appropriate engagement models and define roles between internal cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners to execute AI-first development builds leading up to ramp and mass production. Beyond program delivery, you will instill a mindset of operational rigor powered by AI — establishing cadences, tracking Key Performance Indicators, managing dependencies, and ensuring AI initiatives move from concept to production with speed, quality, and ethical governance.
AI OPM (Operations Program Manager) Responsibilities
- Act as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for AI transformation initiatives for the OPM role, owning end-to-end program management from scoping and planning through execution and scaled deployment
- Accountable for end-to-end manufacturing operations integration with AI tools, driving supplier readiness activities and executing development builds leading up to ramp and mass production
- Establish the appropriate engagement model and define roles and responsibilities between internal cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sourcing, Quality) and external manufacturing partners
- Use knowledge of AI/ML technologies and operational data to influence key design, architecture, and process decisions to meet Operations KPIs
- Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk and status clearly and succinctly to management, presenting options for resolution to the cross-functional executive team through new product reviews
- Champion continuous improvement by demonstrating the ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Partner with leadership to design end-to-end workflows that integrate AI agents and automated orchestration, managing the transition from NTI to NPI
- Manage program health including backlogs, sprint adherence, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and escalation management across multiple functional teams
- Produce clear program artifacts — charters, roadmaps, status reports, and decision documents — that present options, tradeoffs, and risks to facilitate executive decision-making
- Transition successful pilots into repeatable playbooks and hand over ongoing governance to PMO/Operations and functional owners
Minimum Qualifications
- Data-driven problem solving skills to address multi-dimensional problems with high levels of uncertainty across multiple functional teams
- Experience in digital transformation in complex hardware, consumer electronics, or semiconductor environments
- Operational and program management background in manufacturing, supply chain, or product development, including managing supplier technical operations
- Experience communicating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, collaborators, and clients at different levels, including influencing cross-functional executives
- Experience driving AI programs from concept through scaled deployment, with measurable operational outcomes and successful transition into the NPI phase
- Experience developing AI skills (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- 15+ years of experience in program management, operations leadership, or AI transformation roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
