Job Description:
Title: Project Manager
Location: Remote (Quarterly travel required)
Length: 1 year contract
Key Responsibilities
Program & Execution Leadership
· Lead end-to-end delivery of the refrigeration sensor installation program across multiple store locations
· Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deployment waves
· Coordinate cross-functional teams including Store Operations, Facilities, IT, and external vendors
· Ensure alignment with business objectives related to equipment uptime, compliance, and risk mitigation
Deployment & Installation Management
· Oversee the full lifecycle of sensor installation, including site readiness, scheduling, installation, and validation
· Drive standardization of installation processes across all locations
· Monitor installation progress and proactively address delays, risks, or resource constraints
· Ensure proper documentation, testing, and hand-off post-installation
Governance & Reporting
· Establish and enforce program governance, including status reporting, KPIs, and executive updates
· Track key performance metrics (e.g., installation completion rates, sensor functionality, defect rates)
· Lead regular steering committee meetings and ensure clear communication across stakeholders
· Maintain risk, issue, and dependency logs with mitigation strategies
Vendor & Partner Management
· Serve as primary point of accountability for installation vendors and technology providers
· Define SLAs, KPIs, and performance expectations for all third-party partners
· Track vendor performance and drive corrective actions where needed
· Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams on vendor engagement and optimization
Technology & Data Alignment
· Partner with IT and engineering teams to ensure sensor integration with monitoring platforms
· Support validation of data accuracy and reporting capabilities (temperature tracking, alerts, etc.)
· Ensure alignment with cybersecurity, compliance, and data governance requirements
Required Qualifications
· 5–10+ years of Project/Program Management experience, preferably in retail, facilities, or IoT deployments
· Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-site rollouts (e.g., hardware deployments, store initiatives)
· Strong background in vendor management and accountability across distributed teams
· Experience with governance frameworks, executive reporting, and risk management
· Ability to manage complex, cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with IoT, sensors, or facilities systems (HVAC, refrigeration, energy management)
· Familiarity with retail store operations or supply chain environments
· PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
· Experience working with centralized monitoring platforms or data analytics tools
