Rate: $32-37/hr
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Work Hours: Standard business hours aligned to U.S. time zones, with flexibility to support Hawai'i Standard Time (HST) as needed
Travel: Up to 10%
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager II to lead large-scale healthcare technology implementations. This individual will be responsible for driving delivery across the full project lifecycle—from design, development, and implementation (DDI) through transition into maintenance and operations (M&O).
This role requires strong client-facing experience, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage complex data and enterprise initiatives within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale implementation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client outcomes
- Develop project strategies, manage execution plans, and oversee cross-functional collaboration
- Anticipate risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
- Manage project artifacts including deliverables, documentation, workflows, and lessons learned
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and clients
- Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams and workstreams
- Drive continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and delivery quality
- Oversee financial performance, ensuring adherence to budget and cost controls
- Conduct needs assessments, business analyses, and cost-benefit evaluations
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Lead issue resolution and escalation management with internal teams and clients
- Support integration of technical components across programs and initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience
- 2+ years of client-facing experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 2+ years of experience supporting projects within:
- State Medicaid agencies OR
- Large healthcare organizations
- Experience managing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) projects, including data migration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Ability to work hours aligned with Hawai'i Standard Time (HST) when needed
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
- Experience supporting projects in the Maintenance & Operations (M&O)phase
- Demonstrated ability to manage ongoing releases, enhancements, and production support cycles

This role will support a large-scale initiative focused on delivering DDI capabilities, transitioning into M&O, and supporting ongoing enhancements and operational improvements.
