Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in product management or related technical roles.
- 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
- Experience in data or infrastructure products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with intensity measures, volume metrics, or complex user activity logs.
- Experience with GenAI products or tools.
- Experience establishing data systems across a range of products or platforms.
- Data science or analysis background.
- Strong product intuition and analytical sense.
- Appreciation for (or interested in learning) the complexities of working with sensitive user data at Google.

The Google User Analytics team’s goal is to drive better decision making for all Googlers by providing high quality user data across our suite of products. The team curates large, complex datasets to help solve difficult analysis problems and aims to provide better data for better decisions so that we can build better products for our users.The team consists of about 100 Googlers across UX, software engineers, product and program management and analysts, with an motivated mission aimed at answering the most important questions across Google like how are our users using Google products and services? How has that changed over time? and who are our users? Where are they from, and what characterizes them? How frequently do our users interact with any given Google Product?
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $138000 - $198000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Help improve understanding of userbase trends across and within Google products to drive better product strategy and tactics.
- Engage directly with users to understand their analytical problems, prioritize feature requests, and measure the impact of newly launched content projects.
- Define product requirements and collaborate with engineering and UX teams to expedite the development of new data features with high quality.
- Work with cross-functional partners and Google product areas (like Search, YouTube) to better understand their data needs, translating them into actionable product design choices.
- Advocate for great data interpretability and design at Google, helping teams utilize the team’s tools to inform strategic investment decisions.
