Overview
Uber is at the forefront of building the autonomous vehicle (AV) future - one that brings together AV technology developers, fleet operators, infrastructure partners, and regulators into a seamless hybrid ecosystem. As a Launcher, you'll play a foundational role in turning new markets live - bringing sites online, orchestrating cross-functional teams, and building launch processes that scale. You are a dynamic generalist with the tenacity to solve ambiguous problems, build new systems from scratch, and hustle toward launch-readiness with precision. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-travel, high-autonomy environment, capable of both strategic thinking and boots-on-the-ground execution. You embody true grit - resourceful, relentless, and always moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end execution for new AV fleet market launches - from pre-launch planning through day-one operations.
- Drive cross-functional coordination across product, engineering, infra, operations, safety, and external AV partners.
- Operationalize launch playbooks into repeatable templates and identify blockers to AV fleet deployment.
- Stand up systems: from staffing to depot readiness, fleet tools to training.
- Manage launch budgets and schedules using Google Sheets and other tools.
- Build dashboards, slides, and weekly updates for leadership and partner consumption.
- Interface with AV developer partners, facility managers, and internal operations leads to ensure full readiness.
- Serve as launch quarterback on-site - resolving real-time issues, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and ensuring operational excellence.

- Background in managing or supporting multi-market expansions.
