Description
Valley Health System in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is actively recruiting a Program Director for Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship. The position is located at The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ, a new 370‑bed acute‑care facility that opened on April 14, 2024. The role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and operate a new fellowship program while maintaining a clinical practice within the Health System.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and operate a new training program and maintain a clinical practice at VHS. • Provide high‑quality education in a clinical environment, serving diverse patients. • Contribute to peer‑reviewed journals and mentor residents to foster scholarly activity. • Spend 80% of time on clinical responsibilities and 20% on administrative duties as program director.
Qualifications
- Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy required.
- Board‑eligible or certified in Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine required.
- Minimum 3 years of Graduate Medical Education experience; GME leadership preferred.
- Existing or eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA, and CDS required.

- Salary range: 210 K – 220 K.
