The On-Site Project Manager is responsible for the on-site management of Cooper Steel’s projects across the country. They will ensure the safe, timely, and cost-efficient completion of projects by overseeing all phases of erection. This includes but is not limited to working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule and plan work, coordinate the
delivery and storage of equipment and material, operate within budget, and monitor/track progress of the project

Promote Cooper Steel’s culture throughout the jobsite by maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, and Production
Enforce company safety policies and maintain a strong, safe, culture
Ensure the smooth and efficient steel erection of projects
Use erection and fabrication drawings to ensure structural steel is installed per design and in accordance to Cooper Steel’s quality standards
Work with Project Managers to maintain an accurate schedule that meets the needs of the customer
Work with shipping coordinators to ensure delivery schedules meet the needs of the erector and project as a whole
Be a liaison between the general contractor and the steel erection subcontractors
Work alongside and negotiate with subcontractors to meet the needs of the project
Coordinate and communicate with the customer to maintain an accurate understanding of their needs concerning the project
Stay well versed in and up to date on all drawings and design changes
Complete all required paperwork as needed including RFI’s, NCRs, daily reports, progress trackers, etc.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all customers and sub-contractors involved in project
Act in accordance with Cooper Steel’s best interest.

Education And/or Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel erection, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
