Salary Details: A minimum base salary of $383,398 plus a clinical supplement. The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Market benchmarks and internal equity are also considered to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Current certification in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology for the specialty for which they are the program director.
- Current medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment.
- Ongoing clinical activity consistent with the specialty.
- Ongoing academic achievements in dermatology, including publications, development of educational programs, or conduct of research.
- At least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, or qualifications acceptable to the Review Committee.
Responsibilities
- Have responsibility, authority, and accountability for administration, operations, teaching, and scholarly activity; resident recruitment, selection, evaluation, and promotion; disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care.
- Serve as a role model of professionalism, high‑quality patient care, educational excellence, and a scholarly approach to work.
- Design and conduct the program consistently with the needs of the community, the mission(s) of the Sponsoring Institution, and the mission(s) of the program.
- Understand and incorporate social determinants of health and health disparities into the program curriculum.
- Administer and maintain a learning environment conducive to educating residents in all ACGME Competency domains.
- Establish a leadership team to assist in accomplishing program goals while delegating authority appropriately.
- Develop and oversee a process to evaluate candidates for program faculty membership prior to approval and at least annually thereafter.
- Approve and remove program faculty members and residents from participation in protected learning environments that do not meet program standards.
- Ensure faculty and residents effectively role model Core Competencies and remove privileges when standards are not met.
- Submit accurate and complete information required by the DIO, GMEC, and ACGME.
- Provide applicants with information related to eligibility for relevant specialty board examinations.
- Create a safe and confidential environment for residents to raise concerns and provide feedback.
- Ensure compliance with the Sponsoring Institution’s policies and procedures on grievances, due process, employment, and non‑discrimination.
- Document verification of program completion for all graduating residents within 30 days and provide verification upon request.
