Foster Care Program Director
Location: On-Site-Stockton, CA
Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt
Department: Resource Family Agency
Reports to: Division Director
Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00
Sign-on Bonus: $2,000
Summary: The Foster Care Program Director oversees day-to-day operations of Aspiranet’s foster care and adoption services. The role ensures compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements, fiscal oversight, best practices, and staff and foster family recruitment, training, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor adherence to agency, state, and funder standards.
- Implement Best Practice and Quality Assurance efforts, including data tracking and outcome measurement.
- Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Operate program within budgetary limits.
- Support maintenance of Joint Commission safety standards.
- Coordinate onboarding and training of new staff.
- Maintain communication with external partners and referral sources as needed.
- Participate in agency-wide planning and strategic meetings.
- Provide trauma‑informed team culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee performance.
- Promote interdepartmental collaboration to improve service delivery.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior supervisory experience.
- Three years of full-time social work or casework employment in family or child welfare services, or two years full‑time in a foster family or adoption agency.
- Must pass all state‑mandated background checks and health clearances.
Work Environment & Schedule
Fully on-site with availability for occasional evening hours and after‑hours crisis consultation on a rotating basis. Travel required for site visits or meetings.
