Who we are looking for
Charles River Development is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our front-office trading team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology to advance our Order and Execution Management System. You will understand user problems, define and deliver product features that aid the front office workflows within the Charles River Investment Management platform.
You will participate across the full software development lifecycle, working closely with Product Managers, engineering, QA teams, and over time engage with stakeholders across multiple teams and functions.
You will support the management of the product backlog by translating user needs into clear product specifications and user stories, creating product documentation, and collaborating with Sales and Implementation teams to support product initiatives from ideation through delivery and adoption.

What you will be responsible for
- Understanding user problems and translating product requirements – Engage with internal & external stakeholders to understand, analyze and document clear product specifications and user stories.
- Cross Functional Collaboration – Partner with engineering, QA, UX designers, implementation and operations to design, develop, deliver and implement features and modules.
- Product Documentation – Create and maintain accurate product documentation to support sales, implementation, operations and support teams with user onboarding and troubleshooting.
- Charles River subject matter expert – Develop the product and business domain expertise who understands industry practices and trends.
- Product Quality – Ensure product quality and coordinate user experience testing and group testing activities.
- External Integrations – Coordinate and support Charles River IMS integrations with third‑party trading venues.
- Product Presentation – Deliver product demos and presentations to internal & external audiences for reviews and decision making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, product management, business administration, finance or equivalent, and/or other work experience in a technical setting.
- Product management experience working with remote teams following agile scrum ceremonies.
- Experience in Capital Markets is required. Knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income, FX, or Derivatives trading is preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Looking for individuals who have deep empathy for users, curiosity to question the status quo, and the ability to take initiative, and perform tasks with minimal guidance.
- Time‑management skills and ability to work in an environment with multiple competing priorities.
Key Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $80,000 - $140,000 Annual
