As a Sales Engineer, you will identify automation opportunities and lead the execution of robotics system integration projects across the Midwest and southeastern U.S.
This role is based in the main office in Detroit, MI, and operates primarily under a Work From Home (Remote) with regional travel required for client site visits.
1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities with manufacturing operators across the Midwest and southeastern U.S. regions.
- Lead technical conversations and deliver solutions focusing on Palletizing, Assembly, and Logistics to close deals
2. Technical Proposal & Consulting
- Perform On-site Technical Surveys to analyze existing production lines and identify specific automation needs.
- Handle requests for quotation with detailed review of product application, sizing, and custom layout development.
3. Project Management
- Lead end-to-end project management from design to maintenance, ensuring seamless communication with clients.
- Manage automation partners and ensure compliance with local standard equipment.
- Expertise: 5+ years of experience in robotics, system integration (SI), or industrial automation solutions.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in robotic workcells, PLC, sensors, and overall manufacturing line architecture.
- Communication: Excellent skills with comfort presenting technical solutions.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the Southeast/Midwest regions for on-site field evaluations and customer meetings.
- Domain: Familiarity with Palletizing, Assembly, or Logistics automation.
- Network: Established network within the robotics ecosystem and potential clients.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics) or equivalent industry experience.
