Job Description
Under the supervision of the Branch Director, the Job Prep Program Director will plan, instruct, supervise, and manage the Job Prep program participants, work sites, classes/activities, and instructors to provide a safe, supervised, and engaging program for students and work sites with the highest level of outcomes.
Qualifications
- Minimum age 25
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Relevant supervisory experience working with youth
- Commitment to YMCA mission, vision, and values
- Must attend New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire
- Complete CPR/AED and First Aid as required by Conditions of Employment
- Understand and abide by all policies and procedures as set forth by the association
- Work a schedule that reflects the needs of the branch and program
Essential Functions
- Physical requirements: climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, sit, stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, use fingers for repetitive motions, talk, hear, and see clearly
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Problem solving, organizational, and task management skills; make independent and sound decisions in a rapidly changing environment
- Detail‑oriented with high accuracy and alertness
- Initiative in the absence of supervision
- Work effectively with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
- Collaborate as a team member and work independently with staff and volunteers; lead by completing assigned goals, duties, and deadlines
- Exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
