At AWS, the Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) team drives cloud adoption and business growth through innovative pricing strategies. The organization comprises two specialized teams: Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE), which guide transformative deals with industry leaders, and Private Pricing Programs & Experiences (3PX), which scales and optimizes pricing solutions across our diverse customer base. Within GDSP, you will develop deep expertise in cloud economics, hone your strategic thinking, and directly impact AWS’s market leadership while working with state‑of‑the‑art technologies and global clients.
The GDSP team is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS customers access to commercial benefits in exchange for multi‑year spend commitments. Private Pricing offers AWS customers the opportunity to accelerate their cloud transformation journeys through multi‑year relationships with AWS, delivering maximal value to customers in terms of pricing, access to services, and opportunities to innovate. For Amazon, Private Pricing drives more extensive, deeper, and longer‑lasting relationships with customers. Today, Private Pricing largely serves AWS’s enterprise customers seeking to make cloud commitments in exchange for pricing value, and exclusively serves customers brought in via AWS or partner sellers. Private Pricing is poised to grow both revenue and margin by expanding access to Private Pricing and by expanding the value proposition of AWS for Private Pricing customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead sales executive discussions to share insights, challenge status quo, and provide forward‑looking recommendations to enable strategic decision making and growth of Private Pricing.
- Support the development of continuously‑evolving business analytics and data models, own the quantitative analysis of the performance of our sales team, customers, deal team, partners, markets, and products/services.
- Develop a deep understanding of sales metrics, reporting tools, and data structures in order to identify and drive resolution of issues, provide actionable intelligence with existing metrics or identify, develop, and propose new metrics, dashboards, scorecards or new tools.
- Develop relationships and processes with sales, finance, sales operations, and other functional teams to identify and address reporting issues.
- Manage and develop analytical tools or reports that through the automation existing inspection mechanisms such as business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes.
- Create operational templates and processes to compile and standardize disparate information that drives standardized reporting and metrics tracking.
- Generate ad‑hoc analysis and reports with actionable recommendations based on the needs of the stakeholders, through ad‑hoc data retrieval and analysis from data management systems.
- Create new mechanisms and business processes that simplify, standardize and enable operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive‑level prioritization and planning.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data‑driven insights.
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience owning technology products (both 1P and 3P).
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range for this position: USA, NY, New York – 166,300.00–225,000.00 USD annually; USA, WA, Seattle – 151,200.00–204,600.00 USD annually.
Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
