Program Overview
George Fox University's George Fox Digital (GFD) seeks a half‑time Program Director to oversee the asynchronous online Cybersecurity bachelor’s degree, including related certificates. The position, an 11‑month faculty‑administrator role, combines part‑time teaching with part‑time administration. The Program Director will evaluate and revamp curriculum, manage adjunct faculty, oversee course sites, and collaborate with GFD leadership.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of existing Cybersecurity curricula and lead necessary redevelopment to align with industry standards and technological advances.
- Oversee the online Cybersecurity bachelor’s degree program and related courses.
- Motivate, mentor, evaluate, and coach adjunct faculty, including recruiting and training new members.
- Manage Canvas faculty course sites: approve syllabi and oversee assessment tools.
- Attend regular GFD team meetings and collaborate with other Program Directors, Associate Dean, Program Coordinator, Registrar, and Admissions staff.
- Teach an online course load of 6–9 credits during an 11‑month academic year.
- Demonstrate Christian leadership and serve as a role model to students.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with employees, students, and the public.
- Build relationships across diverse cultural contexts with respect and humility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Relevant professional experience in Cybersecurity informing curriculum design, program oversight, and faculty mentoring.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in online teaching and learning.
- Ability to manage a large group of remote faculty – providing professional development and ensuring instructional quality.
- Conceptual understanding of andragogy.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Commitment to the University’s Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity.

Preferred
- Terminal degree in a related field.
