Duties
Coordinate and assist in review and analysis of saw-related accidents and near misses.
Maintain a list of Region/Station/Area Saw Program Managers and Nationally Recognized Sawyer Training (NRST) Courses.
Manage a comprehensive, agency-wide saw operations program encompassing education and training, accident investigation and risk management, public safety, contractor safety, and wildland and prescribed fire activity.
Manage and oversee programs to prioritize work, develop policies, ensure coordination with other branches, and meet timelines to ensure seamless, uninterrupted service and understand and meet customer needs.
Recognize hazards and achieve compliance with regulatory provisions and effectively communicate saw operation practices and procedures to staff and line personnel.
