During our first decade, we've built national student recognition programs, inclusive community events, volunteer initiatives, storytelling projects, and organizational resources that have impacted thousands of children, families, educators, and communities across the country.
Along the way, we've learned countless lessons, developed meaningful traditions, and created proven processes that help each program succeed.
Now it's time to preserve that knowledge.
We're seeking a volunteer to help document how our programs work so they can continue to grow for years to come. This isn't simply about creating procedures. It's about capturing the heart, purpose, and practical knowledge behind each program so future volunteers, board members, and staff can build on a strong foundation.
If you enjoy organizing information, asking thoughtful questions, and turning ideas into clear, easy-to-follow guides, this is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy for a nonprofit that's just getting started.
Working directly with the founder, you will help create Program Playbooks that capture everything needed to successfully operate our programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Interview the founder and key volunteers to understand how each program operates.
- Document annual timelines and planning calendars.
- Create organized Program Playbooks that include:
- Checklists
- Timelines
- Templates
- Communication guides
- Vendor information
- Best practices
- Lessons learned
- Frequently asked questions
- Organize existing documents into an easy-to-use knowledge library.
- Help identify opportunities to simplify and improve processes.
- Preserve not only the "how," but also the "why" behind each program.
