OPTIONS COUNSELOR-VDCPROGRAM - NORTH CAROLINA
Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAA) is currentlyseeking an individual to serve as the Options Counselor for the Veteran'sDirected Care (VDC) Program to provide case management and service coordinationfor eligible clients in North Carolina and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
As the Options Counselor for the VDC Program, youwill be instrumental in advising veterans and/or their caregivers of theservices and resources available to support aging in place, and utilizeinterview skills to screen and complete assessments, provide optionscounseling, and develop comprehensive plans of care/service plans for veterans in North Carolina and surrounding areas. This position requires significant travel utilizing a personal vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS mileage reimbursement rate.
EssentialSkills and Experience
We are looking for applicants with anycombination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree fromaccredited college or university in social work, human services, or relatedfield. Applicant needs to be experienced with working with seniors and/ordisabled adults, case management, excellent interviewing, oral, and writtencommunication skills, and effective use of computers, software, and mobiletechnology. Applicants must also have theability to model our values, and be vaccinated for COVID.

Pay Rate Per Hour: $24.34
