Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our client's PMO team. This utility PM will support multiple programs, primarily focused on delivering initiatives across life insurance and annuity domains. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, skilled in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-value initiatives.
- Assess strategic business value initiatives and define scope of work.
- Coordinate resources across 15–20+ system applications for development and testing.
- Select appropriate project management tools and methodologies based on project needs.
- Maintain transparency on progress, risks, and issues.
- Demonstrate accountability for program/project results.
- Build and maintain trust with stakeholders and sponsors.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience managing large, cross-functional programs/projects with long-term delivery cycles.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
- Deep knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
- Exceptional relationship management skills across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in financial services is preferred, though insurance-specific knowledge is not required.
- Ability to lead in ambiguous environments and adapt to unexpected challenges.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in the mechanics of Program/Project Management.
- Professional certification or work experience showcasing diverse PM tools and methodologies.
