Overview
Senior Project Manager position based in Albany, NY. We are seeking an experienced professional with strong client and project management background and experience managing civil/site development projects for both private and public sectors.
Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Serve on multiple project teams and support the development of civil/site designs and drawings.
- Manage civil/site design and the land development process, including internal project teams, clients, and permitting/approval processes.
- Oversee project management, client interaction, and technical and fee proposal preparation within the designated engineering practice. Develop scopes and budgets, conduct engineering studies, and prepare technical reports for a variety of high‑profile projects. Assist the engineering practice leader with project budgets and technical deliverables, QA/QC reviews, technical/price proposals, and communication with external and internal clients. Support marketing, business development, and expansion of the engineering practice.
- Demonstrate good communication, supervision, and mentoring skills; maintain reliability, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Show proven business development and project management experience within the past 4–6 years.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with a diverse team.
- 10+ years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications
Education and/or Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry) with a minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with expanding project management duties and a track record in project management roles focused on larger-scale projects or programs.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools; ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, QA, and safety protocols.
- Effective problem‑solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements.
- Understanding of accounting principles to manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
Education And/or Work Experience Preferred
- Master’s Degree in related field (AEC Industry).
Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required
- Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
