Geotechnical Project Manager – Location: Austin, TX
Mission/ Position Description Summary
The mission of a Geotechnical Project Manager for HVJ Associates, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to assure client satisfaction through preparation of quality reports that address the specific project requirements within the project schedule, budget and design constraints. Support other project managers or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects meeting the company's financial goals and quality standards.
- Engineering Analyses including Shallow and Deep Foundations, Retaining Walls, Slope Stability and Settlement.
- Field and Planning Lab Assignments.
- Provide Project Deliverables on Schedule and Within Budget.
- Review and Seal Geotechnical Investigation Reports.
- Develop Proposals for Future Work.
- Guide and mentor junior staff.
- Team Building.
- Assist with Business Development.
Key Expectations
- Track project expenses to ensure actual work is performed within budget.
- Invoice projects following client requirements and schedule.
- Review all reports prior to submittal to the client for completeness and accuracy.
Key Requirements
- MSCE or BSCE with three to five years of directly related experience.
- On track to obtain Texas PE within 1 year.
- Excellent written and communication skills and strong math and science skills.
- Valid Texas Driver License.
