Job Description
Dewberry’s growing Commercial Utilities – Energy/Renewables Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager in the Philadelphia area to play a key role in delivering complex, high‑impact infrastructure projects . You’ll work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide full‑service project consulting for utility, energy, and renewables clients across the region.
In this role, you’ll lead project strategy from pursuit through delivery , guide technical quality, manage project financials, and mentor developing professionals. You’ll have opportunities to collaborate across Dewberry offices, expand client relationships, and influence the growth of a thriving practice.
Travel to other offices, client locations, agencies, and project sites will be part of the role.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Lead projects and client relationships for utility, energy, and renewables programs
- Shape business development efforts, including proposals and client pursuits
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants from planning through construction
- Oversee budgets, invoicing, and financial performance
- Provide technical leadership and conduct engineering/design quality reviews
- Mentor and develop junior staff
- Collaborate with teams across Dewberry offices
Required Skills & Required Experience
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or related field
- MBA is a plus
- 10+ years of experience managing commercial utility, energy, or renewables projects
- Professional licensure in NY or NJ (or ability to obtain within 18 months)
- Experience with planning, design, permitting, and construction administration
- Familiarity working with state and local agencies on approvals and permits
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A clean driving record is required.
