Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking a Licensed Site Remediation Professional to join our Remediation team as a Senior Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Actively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the team
- Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary
- Market our services and maintain and further develop the client database
- Manage project budgets, prepare change orders, review invoices, and assist with collection efforts
- Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff members
- Prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines
- Oversee environmental projects, assist junior staff with issue resolution and field staff training, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Oversee the preparation and review of proposals and change orders
- Prepare environmental reports, perform analysis, provide recommendations, and review reports produced by junior staff
- Perform peer/senior review of deliverables prior to submission for Principal review
- Host or attend project discussions with clients and follow up on reports to address any questions
- Collaborate with other managers to make staffing decisions
- Direct project set up and implementation with junior staff; ensure appropriately trained and experienced staff are assigned
- Have a solid understanding of sample collection, preparation, sample hold times, preservation, and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines
- Possess extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies
- Understand client goals and provide guidance while complying with applicable regulations, and assess how service line requirements may impact regulatory timeframes, obligations, or constructability
- Review daily reports from field staff, perform routine site visits to ensure quality and progress, mentor junior staff, and communicate project milestones to clients
- Direct site activities, maintain continuous communication with field staff and senior managers on several projects concurrently, and discuss how site changes affect outcomes or budgets with the Principal
- Independently prepare reports for Principal review, review subordinates’ reports before Principal review, and lead client meetings or calls to present findings and conclusions
- Direct field work performed by drill crews, test pit crews, and assist with rig access issues for groundwater, soil, and vapor intrusion investigations; perform media sampling as required; ensure simultaneous projects are managed; ensure sites are restored before demobilization and scope aligns with proposals
- Develop site work plans, including sample/boring locations, equipment needs, safety requirements, and subcontractor logistics aligned with client goals
- Manage remediation system design, installation, operation, and maintenance; communicate any onsite conditions that may impact scope, budget, or technology needed
- Manage underground storage tank assessments, ensuring licensed personnel perform work and ECS safety protocols are followed
- Support and oversee Staff PMs and Project Managers in their development
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related Engineering, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to Environmental Consulting
- Minimum 10 years of related experience
- Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license required
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications
- Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
- Proven ability to manage and develop new clients; seek out opportunities to build client relationships
- Ability to review and provide feedback on field and laboratory testing; perform training and corrective action as necessary
- Excellent client development skills
- Experience delegating/assigning projects and tasks to other staff while managing projects independently
The expected pay range for this role and location is $120,000 – $150,000 per year. The final agreed‑upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
