Job Summary
The Project Manager, ERP and CRM, plans and coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation, new functionality, and upgrades. The Project Manager coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal/external customers/partners by defining project requirements, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments, allocation, progress tracking, and monitoring change control process. The focus is on managing cross‑functional teams, supporting group progress including scheduling, prioritizing, expectation setting, managing budget cost, and resource allocation for projects. The position collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions to make sound recommendations and decisions based upon cost, customer requirements, regulations, and other pertinent data, ensuring projects meet goals on time, on budget, and with high quality.
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are consistent with corporate quality and regulatory policies.
- Identify and evaluate best‑in‑class performance measures critical to projects and incorporate these metrics into daily management activities.
- Contribute information and analysis to organizational strategic plans.
- Assist any assigned project team in strategic meetings and follow up with documented meeting notes.
- Actively contribute to being part of a cohesive project team and cross‑functional program teams and may work independently with external sources to achieve collaboration and results.
- Identify and resolve project management issues within the project team and guide the team to plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
- Lead brainstorming sessions and/or conversations, research, and analysis to ensure each project’s challenges have potential resolutions that are discussed with all relevant parties.
- Build cohesive project teams and cross‑functional program teams and provide the necessary leadership to motivate employees and meet company‑defined deadlines.
- Monitor project activities, progress, milestones, and cost in accordance with company’s long‑term strategy.
- Report project status on a weekly basis to corresponding departments, and communicate with management on a regular basis.
- Secure and justify all projects including funding, and expedite and coordinate a multitude of interrelated activities, resources, and project risks within constraints of limited resources and changing priorities.
- Provide planning, leadership, and focus to manage deliverables, scope and objective of major projects and sub‑projects.
- Coordinate activities, tasks, and assignments for various full‑time and part‑time project members, contract resources, and cross‑functional partners.
- Present and discuss project status with various levels of the organization as needed.
- Capable of resolving any project‑related issues, such as scheduling, requirements definition or urgent requests, and escalates only when necessary.
- Create comprehensive cross‑functional project plans that include conceptual design, specifications, critical path items, FMEA, and risk analysis; collaborate with appropriate functional groups for financial analysis and budgeting, product cost, tasks, deliverables, schedule, product marketing, forecast and launch plans, and product production and service plans.
- Train and instruct other members of the department and the company, passing along skills and information to assist them in their development and advancement.
- Understand Mizuho OSI’s business objectives and the relationship between the Department and those objectives; support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements, maintain services and quality levels, and continually enable Mizuho OSI to be a great place to work.
- Understand and support Mizuho OSI's internal Quality System policies, procedures, and work instructions, including but not limited to applicable external regulations such as 21 CFR Part 820 and applicable International Standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related technical field is required as well as at least 8 years of related experience.
- Minimum experience of three years with IT Projects.
- Three to five years of SAP Project Management experience with at least two SAP S/4 HANA implementations.
- Three to five years of Salesforce platform Project Management with at least two completed SFDC implementations.
- Experience configuring ERP or CRM systems.
- PMP Certification and/or Scrum Master Certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead specific IT project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to present project status to management teams.
- Strong influencing skills: ability and judgment to provide project management direction to the team, to ensure project plan is executed.
- Project management experience with responsibility for multifunctional disciplines.
- Knowledge in areas of schedule development, cost, scope, system integration, and quality assurance.
- Excellent computer skills including operating Windows‑based personal computers, various office equipment, and telephone systems; ability to use Microsoft products efficiently and effectively such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Respond empathetically to the needs and feelings of others, maintain rapport, and interact effectively with employees at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment, and to modify plans, actions, and decisions considering changing situations while still meeting, or proposing modified, deadlines.
- Ability to establish and accomplish goals independently and to function as a positive and productive team member.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $124,000 to $143,000 annual salary plus comprehensive benefits package and a potential annual bonus.
