We are seeking a Mechanical Construction Project Manager with a strong background in pre-construction to join our Portland, OR office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering innovative mechanical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical pre-construction efforts including estimating, design coordination, and constructability reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, architects, and engineers to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed mechanical estimates and proposals.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies.
- Support business development efforts by participating in client meetings and presentations.
- Ensure alignment between design intent and construction feasibility.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Mentor and support junior team members in pre-construction processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, with a strong emphasis on pre-construction.
- Proven track record of managing mechanical scopes on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
- Proficient in construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Trimble).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
