Senior Project Manager - St. Louis, MO - Heavy Civil Construction
Metric Geo is partnered with a leading heavy civil contractor in the St. Louis market seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing team.
This is an opportunity for a proven civil construction professional with a strong background in earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development to take ownership of complex projects and play a key role in continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and profitability
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Partner with superintendents to ensure safe, efficient project execution
- Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects
- Strong background in earthwork, mass grading, excavation, and site development
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, municipal, or large-scale civil projects
- Proven ability to manage projects valued at $5M+
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, plans, and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Background
- Experience with large-scale grading, site preparation, and underground utilities
- Local St. Louis market experience preferred
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
