Job Summary
Abacus is a fast‑growing technology company focused on providing Hedge Funds, Private Equity firms and Healthcare clients with cloud‑based IT solutions. We are looking for an independent, motivated, and enthusiastic Project Manager. If you are a self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership, excellent interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of project management approaches, we would like to consider you for this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop a full understanding of customer requirements, identifying project deliverables and outcomes.
- Work with clients from project initiation to completion, encompassing the planning, organizing, and management of resources to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Develop and monitor schedules to ensure projects are completed within established deadlines.
- Assist with the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate status and risk issues to stakeholders.
- Lead status meetings, maintain detailed issues and risks lists, and prepare project minutes and status reports.
- Meet regularly with related service providers to identify and resolve integration issues.
- Interface with all levels of business and technical management staff to facilitate problem resolution and priority alignment.
- Monitor team progress to ensure project objectives are met.

Essential Skills and Experience Required
- 3–5 years of experience executing small to mid‑sized technology projects focused on client infrastructure onboarding.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills; motivated, decisive, flexible, and possessing sound business judgment.
- Ability to handle and manage stressful situations professionally.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills with the ability to lead meetings.
- Proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or an equivalent tool.
- Ability to manage multiple tactical and strategic project initiatives.
- Ability to manage remote resources and projects.
- Prioritization skills for project requests from business and technical teams.
- Capability to protect project scope and set expectations with the customer.
- Experience within an IT Service Provider environment is advantageous.
- Relevant Project Management certification is a plus.
