Your impact
KnackWorks is looking for a Technical Project Manager responsible for planning, directing, and executing complex enterprise infrastructure and information technology projects supporting U.S. Government customers. The successful candidate will manage multiple concurrent projects while coordinating engineering, operations, cybersecurity, logistics, and customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
This position requires a technically proficient project manager capable of leading network modernization initiatives, infrastructure deployments, technology refreshes, and operational improvements while maintaining cost, schedule, performance, and quality objectives.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience managing technical teams supporting enterprise networking environments and has demonstrated success working directly with government customers, subcontractors, and executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical projects from proposal transition through project closeout.
- Develop integrated project schedules, work breakdown structures, milestones, and resource plans.
- Coordinate activities between systems administrators, network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logistics teams, procurement, and customer stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and deliverables.
- Prepare executive-level project briefings, status reports, and customer presentations.
- Interface directly with government program managers, technical representatives, and contracting organizations.
- Coordinate vendor activities including procurement, installation scheduling, and implementation planning.
- Lead project status meetings and customer reviews.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure project documentation complies with contractual and organizational standards.
- Support transition planning for new contract awards and technology modernization efforts.
- Mentor junior project managers and technical personnel.
Here’s what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience leading technical or IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing enterprise networking or systems integration projects.
- Experience supporting Federal Government or DoD contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Clearance
- Active Top Secret Clearance with CI poly required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- PMP Certification.
- ITIL Certification.
- Experience with Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
- Experience managing technology modernization projects.
- Experience coordinating geographically dispersed technical teams.
- Experience supporting classified environments.
- Experience with procurement planning and vendor management.

The base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 to $140,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
