Flowtec Group is partnering with a well-established mechanical contractor to appoint a Senior Project Manage r to lead MEP delivery on mission critical projects across the Atlanta market.
Atlanta is now one of the fastest-growing data center markets in the country, and our client is delivering the mechanical scope on some of the most technically demanding builds in the Southeast. This is a senior appointment with genuine ownership, you'll run projects end to end, from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading full project delivery on mission critical MEP scopes — from preconstruction through commissioning and client turnover
- Owning project financials: budgets, forecasting, change orders, pay applications and cost-to-complete report
- Managing subcontractors, vendors and suppliers, and holding them to schedule, quality and safety standards
- Driving schedule development and critical path management, identifying risk early and building recovery plans
- Coordinating with general contractors, owners, design teams and commissioning agents
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, RFIs and submittals, and resolving design conflicts before they hit the field
- Supporting startup, commissioning and turnover documentation through to owner acceptance
- Mentoring project engineers, assistant PMs and field leadership
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of project management experience in commercial, industrial or institutional construction
- Minimum 2–3 years delivering mission critical projects — data centers, semiconductor, healthcare or comparable
- Strong mechanical and MEP background — chilled water systems, central plant, piping, air handling & HVAC
- Demonstrable ownership of budgets, schedules and subcontractor management on large-scale projects
- Confident reading and interpreting drawings, specs and submitals
- Experience taking projects through commissioning and turnover
