Key Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 5+ years in the water/wastewater market.
- Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or ability to obtain them through reciprocity within 90 days of start date.
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical, mechanical, and structural design teams on a variety of water/wastewater infrastructure projects for public utility and private clients.
- Manage planning, design, and construction phase projects while interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists.
- Coordinate with Design Discipline Managers to schedule, plan and assign appropriate personnel.
- Effectively understand and communicate project expectations to the MEPS Infrastructure project team and client (both internal and external).
- Prepare design proposals, support project pursuits, and engage in client management and business development activities.
- Employ earned value and quality management principles to prepare and monitor project work plans, schedule, and budget. Oversee deliverable submission and ensure coordination through all disciplines and consultants involved.
- Contribute to the continued growth of MEPS Infrastructure through attending conferences, supporting articles professional publications, and actively participating in state and/or national professional associations through committee involvement and technical presentations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 5+ years in the water/wastewater market.
- Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or ability to obtain them through reciprocity within 90 days of start date.
- Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines as needed.
- Experience interfacing with clients.
- Self‑motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Well organized, with a good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and process control systems with general knowledge of applicable codes, national standards, water/wastewater equipment and plant operation, space requirements, and cost.
