Environmental Remediation Project Manager – Long Island, NY
A well-established environmental consulting firm on Long Island is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Manager to lead site investigation and remediation projects throughout the NY metro region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and work with a respected team on complex environmental challenges.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental remediation and site investigation projects from proposal through completion
- Oversee Phase I/II ESAs, remedial investigations, soil/groundwater sampling, and reporting
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies including NYSDEC
- Prepare technical reports, work plans, cost estimates, and proposals
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and staff utilization
- Support business development and client relationship management
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
- BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years of environmental consulting/remediation experience
- Strong knowledge of NYSDEC regulations and remediation programs
- Experience managing environmental projects and technical staff
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- PE, PG, or related certifications are a plus
