Responsibilities
- Plan, steer, and deliver technology projects aligned with strategic objectives.
- Define, maintain, and monitor project plans (scope, schedule, budget, resources, deliverables) and adapt to initiative context.
- Account for overall project delivery, including risk, issue, quality, interdependency, and change request management.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to prioritize work, coordinate activities, and inform decisions.
- Allocate, optimize, and ensure availability of resources required for project completion.
- Monitor, communicate, and achieve project baseline deliverables, and report to sponsor, governance bodies, and PMO.
- Present project progress to committees and support governance and phasing activities.
- Coordinate transition to operations, including implementation and post‑implementation phases, to ensure adoption.
- Apply governance frameworks, organizational processes, and compliance requirements.
- Optimize and evolve work processes in collaboration with clients and partners, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development of project team members and project management practices.
- Participate in strategic department development by identifying improvement opportunities and organizational alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Computing, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Over 15 years of experience in project management (Waterfall and hybrid Agile).
- Professional certification in project management (PMP, ACP, PSM, etc.) is an asset.
- Proven experience in project governance and compliance within structured environments.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
- Excellent understanding of business issues, project financial management, and continuous improvement practices.
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile methodology are mandatory.
- Good knowledge of business, operational, and corporate processes.
- Experience working in a matrix environment.
- Bilingual in French and English.
Location
This position will be based in Montreal, Sherbrooke, or Valcourt.
