At EKFB we’re shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow, bringing together the expertise of four leading civil engineering and construction companies. We’re working on high‑speed rail projects, including a section of HS2, to deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions.
We’re looking to recruit an Environmental Project Manager (Landscape) to join our team based in Milton Keynes.
Responsibilities
As an Environmental Project Manager, you will:
- Manage landscape deliverables for handover and completion, including schedules, general arrangement drawings, landscape & visual assessments and management & maintenance plans.
- Provide technical assistance and support the landscape delivery team in resolving technical issues arising from site work and coordinate field change requests impacting landscape design.
- Conduct technical reviews of landscape deliverables to ensure compliance with the project’s technical requirements, ES and undertakings and assurances.
- Manage the production of Ecological Site Management Plans for HS2 issuance.
- Engage with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure designs meet consent and environmental minimum requirements.
- Assist in contract communications, chair risk reduction meetings, and provide technical expertise to delivery, engineering and supply‑chain teams regarding environmental aspects and impacts.
- Support the implementation of BS EN ISO14001 certification and internal audits, and raise environmental and sustainability awareness across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with the wider Environmental Team, clients, designers, communities, stakeholders and public‑relations managers to achieve programme objectives.
- Lead by example and promote best practice in environmental management and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in landscape, engineering, environmental science or a related field.
- Extensive experience in a similar environmental project management role.
- Chartered membership of an appropriate professional body is desirable (e.g., Landscape Institute).
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills with a proven ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with internal and external parties.
- Experience of driving improvements to systems and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships.
- Knowledge of NEC3 contracts is desirable.
- HS2 experience is preferable.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
