Our client works with the energy industry to support and enable companies to continue to deliver services within an evolving industry sector.
They are now looking for a Technical Project Manager to join them on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Role
As a Technical Project Manager, you will support the development and delivery of our client's whole system voltage management strategy and programme, helping to shape nationally significant engineering initiatives that support the UK's transition to Net Zero.
You'll join the Engineering and Resilience team, who are tasked with developing the policies, standards and guidance that help ensure the UK's energy sector operates safely, reliably and collaboratively.
Working closely with energy companies and associated public sector bodies, you'll develop statutory voltage implementation plans, support the delivery of national industry guidance and strengthen collaboration across energy sector organisations.
You'll also co-coordinate industry meetings on whole system voltage management, ensuring strategic programmes continue to progress whilst supporting colleagues across the Engineering and Resilience team and the wider organisation.
Additionally, you will:
- Develop and deliver the implementation plan for the revised statutory lower voltage limit
- Support the development of a whole system voltage management programmeOrganise and support industry working groups
- Support the delivery of Steering Group priorities
About You
To be considered as a Technical Project Manager, you will need:
- A background in, or strong understanding of, the energy or utilities sector
- An understanding of voltage management and the associated engineering standards
- Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, another relevant engineering discipline with transferable skills, or equivalent relevant experience
