We're seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join a major programme in Warrington. This role is ideal for professionals with strong PMO expertise and a proven ability to manage governance, cost control, and scheduling within complex engineering projects. Location and Working Pattern
Birchwood Park, Warrington - Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week on site, remaining days from home.

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain PMO governance, processes, and procedures across the project.
- Define and manage the project baseline for scope, cost, and schedule.
- Oversee scheduling teams to develop, manage, and analyse integrated project schedules.
- Lead cost management, change management, and risk & opportunity management activities.
- Produce accurate management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct governance reviews and manage stakeholder engagement throughout the lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment of project control tools and promote continuous improvement.
- Deputise for the Project Manager and ensure team development and succession readiness.
Must-have Requirements
- Extensive experience in a similar PMO role within an engineering or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of project governance, scheduling, and cost control processes.
- Degree in engineering, project, or construction management (or equivalent).
- Full project lifecycle experience from bid to closeout.
- Knowledge of PMO toolsets and contract management frameworks (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
- Britishnational eligible for BPSS and SC clearance.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
- APM Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status or membership of a professional body.
- Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
