Teledyne Energetics UK has been designing and developing solutions for the safety, arming and initiation technology sector since 1984. We deliver flagship product lines such as active vehicle safety systems, sea mine fuzes, modular artillery fuzes, flight termination units, electronic Safe & Arm units and electronic ignition safety devices. Originating from the Teledyne e2v family, we also provide modelling, testing and design services for control and initiation of detonators carried out at our fully licensed site in Lincoln. What We Are Looking For
This is a Project Management role within a growing team, responsible for delivering technical product development to challenging customer specifications and timescales. The successful candidate will demonstrate industry best practice, effective use of project management tools and a successful track record of delivering technical projects on time and in full.
Role & Responsibilities
- Be a high performing Project Manager, working within time and resource constraints to deliver projects on time and to agreed budgets.
- Work directly with Customers and the Key Account Manager to maintain good relationships and ensure expectations and agreed outcomes are met.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to plan engineering and compliance resources, resolve conflicts and bottlenecks.
- Work with procurement/supply‑chain teams to forward‑plan and order material, equipment and services in accordance with delivery schedules and project plans.
- Deploy highly effective project plans using PM best practice, challenging roadblocks to ensure success. Lateral thinking is mandatory.
- Support the effective transition of new products into steady‑state manufacturing.
- Assist in bid proposal support for onboarding new programmes and projects.
- Support accurate reporting, budget forecasting and detailed revenue projections for project delivery.
- Manage risk mitigation plans and effective escalations within the business to resolve project uncertainty.
- Champion site‑wide improvements for project management and mentor junior team members.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrated project‑management experience on highly technical, critically dependent projects, with the ability to resolve ambiguous situations.
- Experience working with demanding, high‑profile customers (OEMs).
- Experience delivering technical proposals.
- Relevant professional project‑management qualification and at least five years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of EPM tools and ASC 606 accounting methodology, preferably with SAP S4.
- Some familiarity with ISO 9001 is an advantage.
