Project Manager - Operational Transformation Projects

We're looking for an organised and proactive Project Manager to lead projects that improve services, create efficiencies, and make a positive difference for our customers and communities. Continuous Improvement: maximise efficiencies, minimise waste, manage cross-project dependencies, and track performance metrics. This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role. You’ll work across teams alongside other areas of the business. You'll bring people together, manage competing priorities, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Working across teams and with external partners, you'll take projects from initial planning through to successful completion. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering meaningful change within a purpose-led organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead projects from initiation and planning through to implementation, evaluation and closure
- Develop clear project plans, objectives, milestones, budgets and resource requirements
- Coordinate project teams, working groups and external suppliers to maintain progress and accountability
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and changes, escalating where appropriate
- Monitor project performance against agreed timescales, budgets, outcomes and quality standards
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors and other stakeholders
- Facilitate meetings, workshops and consultations, ensuring actions are recorded and followed through
- Prepare accurate project reports, updates and recommendations for senior stakeholders and governance groups
- Support procurement, contract management and budget monitoring activities where required
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across our project delivery approach

About you
We're looking for an experienced project professional who can bring structure, energy and collaboration to a varied portfolio of work. You'll be confident managing projects, engaging stakeholders and making sure actions are delivered in a changing environment.
- Project management experience - proven experience delivering projects from planning through to completion
- Strong organisation skills - able to manage deadlines, budgets, risks and competing priorities
- Excellent communication - confident working with colleagues, customers, suppliers and senior stakeholders
- Collaborative approach - able to build effective relationships and bring people together around shared goals
- Commercial awareness - comfortable monitoring budgets, managing resources and working with external providers
- Problem-solving skills - able to identify challenges, assess options and make practical recommendations
- IT literate - confident using Microsoft Office and project management or reporting systems
- Commitment to inclusion - understands the importance of accessible, customer-focused and fair project delivery
A project management qualification such as PRINCE2, AgilePM or an equivalent qualification would be desirable, but we're equally interested in relevant experience and a track record of delivering successful projects.
