Senior Project Manager
Location: London
Rate: £400 - £500 Per day
Contract: 3 - 6 months
Spencer Carke Group are supporting a London local authority to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager within a Capital Delivery team, leading complex, high-profile projects that support regeneration, growth and placemaking.
You will manage projects end-to-end from early-stage business case and governance through procurement, design, planning, delivery on site, and handover. The portfolio is varied and can include residential, mixed-use, education, commercial and community infrastructure schemes.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading capital projects from inception through to completion and handover (RIBA Stage 0 onwards)
- Managing consultants, contractors and multi-disciplinary teams to keep delivery on track
- Driving procurement activity and supporting robust contract management
- Owning programme governance, risk, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
- Managing budgets, cost control, commercial performance, and value for money
About you:
- Strong track record delivering capital construction projects end-to-end
- Confident working with stakeholders across senior officers, members, partners and communities
- Solid understanding of procurement and contract administration / client-side project controls
- Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a high-accountability environment
