Project Manager
Clinical-Stage Gene Therapy
- Permanent position within a fast growing Biotech
- Hybrid working in London (2 days per week on site)
- £70,000-£80,000 per annum

As Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving the delivery of the company’s clinical-stage gene therapy programme. You will oversee the integrated project plan and coordinate activity across clinical development, regulatory, CMC/manufacturing, quality, finance, commercial planning, and broader company operations.
Working closely with leadership, internal experts, external partners, advisers, and vendors, you will turn strategic priorities into clear plans and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the integrated programme plan, including milestones, timelines, dependencies, owners, risks, and critical activities.
- Establish and maintain an effective cross-functional planning and review cadence.
- Coordinate clinical development activities, including CROs, sites, data, vendors, regulatory requirements, and Phase 3 preparation.
- Bring together CMC, manufacturing, testing, release, technology transfer, stability, and clinical supply activities.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, invoices, and programme-related changes.
- Coordinate external partners and vendors, supporting selection, onboarding, delivery, and performance management.
- Prepare clear dashboards, programme updates, governance materials, and leadership/board reporting.
- Develop practical project-management processes, tools, reporting structures, and documentation as the company grows.
- Support financing, partnering, diligence, and other company-building activities.
- Proactively identify gaps, challenge assumptions, clarify accountability, and drive actions through to completion.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experienced project or programme management within biotech or pharma
- Phase 2/3 or global clinical trial experience.
- Experience supporting a clinical-stage programme or complex cross-functional development project.
- Broad understanding of clinical operations, regulatory, CMC/manufacturing, quality, safety, data, and financial processes.
- Experience working with CROs, CDMOs, laboratories, consultants, and other external partners.
- Strong skills in programme planning, budgeting, forecasting, governance, risk management, and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity.
Additional Desirable expertise:
- Gene therapy, AAV, ATMP, or complex biologics experience.
- Experience in Parkinson’s disease, CNS, neurosurgical delivery, or movement disorders.
