Sectora Group are pleased to be seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery of a range of specialist work packages on a major nuclear new-build project in Suffolk.
You will lead site delivery teams and specialist subcontractors, working closely with the client, principal contractors, project partners and wider supply chain. The role is ideally suited to a proactive Project Manager with a strong technical background and experience delivering complex construction, civil engineering or geotechnical projects.

Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager:
- Champion a strong Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) culture and promote a proactive nuclear safety culture.
- Lead, brief and support site teams to ensure compliance with site rules, CDM requirements, SHE standards and operational procedures.
- Oversee day-to-day delivery of assigned work packages, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor progress against agreed programmes, milestones and performance targets.
- Identify risks at an early stage and support effective recovery and mitigation plans.
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports and contribute to internal and client project meetings.
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with client representatives, principal contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and other site stakeholders.
- Act as a key representative on site, ensuring excellent communication and professional project delivery.
- Support client satisfaction and the development of long-term relationships.
- Participate in site visits, tenders and commercial opportunities where required.
Experience required of a Project Manager:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or Hydrogeology .
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project or site management within construction, engineering or a similar environment.
- Strong technical understanding of hydrogeology, engineering geology or civil engineering .
- Extensive experience supervising geotechnical or related works, including use of the observational method.
- Proven experience managing site teams and specialist subcontractors.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high standard of written English.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience interpreting technical information and regulatory requirements.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant digital project tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the project.
- Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certification and full UK Driving Licence .
Desirable
- Experience working on major infrastructure programmes, particularly nuclear new-build, HS2, Thames Tideway or similar projects.
- Understanding of nuclear safety culture.
- Experience working under NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
- Experience in temporary works and design management.
- Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant professional institution, such as ICE, APM or CIOB.
