About the Role
Our client, a dynamic and expanding entity within the aviation sector, is seeking a proactive and experienced Aviation Project Manager to spearhead key initiatives from their strategic location in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK . This role is crucial for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of a diverse range of aviation-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage cross-functional teams, stakeholder relationships, and project risks, driving forward critical developments in areas such as aircraft component upgrades, MRO process improvements, and new service implementation. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management for aviation projects.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Manage all project phases from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective contingency plans.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, regulatory bodies, and clients to ensure alignment and achieve project objectives.
- Track project progress, prepare regular status reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Facilitate project review meetings and conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in project management, specifically within the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex projects from conception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, PMP).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Understanding of aviation operations, regulations, and supply chains.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
