About the Role
Our client, a highly respected environmental charity dedicated to land conservation and ecological restoration across the **UK**, is looking for a Senior Environmental Project Manager. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of multiple environmental conservation and restoration projects, from inception through to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Oversee project execution, monitoring progress, managing risks, and ensuring the achievement of project deliverables and impact goals.
- Engage with and manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including landowners, local communities, government agencies, and academic partners.
- Ensure all projects adhere to best practices in environmental science, conservation, and sustainable land management.
- Prepare high-quality project reports, evaluations, and documentation for internal and external audiences.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and value for money.
- Identify opportunities for project expansion, innovation, and collaboration.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Stay abreast of current environmental challenges, conservation techniques, and relevant policy changes affecting projects across the **UK**.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in environmental project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex conservation or ecological restoration projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in project planning, execution, monitoring, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of ecological principles, conservation strategies, and sustainable land management practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a remote working setting.
- Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Conservation Management, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional accreditation (e.g., PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
