About the Role
Our client, a prominent international construction and engineering firm, is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure projects in **Glasgow, Scotland, UK**. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned civil infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and subcontractor management.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as required.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and clients, detailing project status, key milestones, and financial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery processes.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years specifically on large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects with budgets exceeding £50 million.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6), and contract administration.
- Strong understanding of **UK** and **Scottish** construction regulations and standards.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
